W.i.P.- Quick Update

Just a quick update. After shortening the curtains I got to play with my stash and machine for fun. I saw this mini quilt the other day and had to try the block to see whether I'd like it enough to make a baby quilt with it. I followed this tute to make easy use of my charm pack of A Walk in the Woods.

I also played around with the new curtains as a photo background.

This morning I've taken apart my lovely FQ bundle and ironed it. I'll be cutting squares this evening.

Is anybody else a little apprehensive unpacking nicely made up things?

It looks so different now!

  4. Really I like your Walk in the Woods better in these blocks than I ever did as yardage. Hope you enjoyed your shopping.

  7. Oh . . . if I had a bundle like all those gorgeous aquas I would definitely have a hard time breaking it apart. I have a hard time cutting into a piece of yardage. Your little blocks are so cute with the center fussy cuts.

  8. ahhh those blocks are so cute!!! I want to make a quilt like that someday, but I am trying not to get too far ahead of myself :) Also, I have the same problem with messing up pretty piles of fabric, but the finished product is {usually} better anyway.
