Wool on Sunday #3

This week was busy but I've been able to sneak in some knitting with the gorgeous wool I showed you last time. The Duotone Cowl pattern is quick and simple but I don't mind a bit of "thoughtless" knitting for distraction and I like the little twist - half-way into the pattern the width of the blue and grey parts will switch.

Both the husband and my dad have said they don't need a new scarf so I'm thinking this one will become a present for my brother-in-law. He still wears the one I made him two if not three years ago religiously and deserves a new one.

In other news, the nesting instinct is definitely kicking in. We've ordered a pram set, furniture, and I'm finally shopping for clothes. Though I'm thankful for my sister's pretty hand-me-downs I want a few new things just for our little girl. Speaking of which, today I'm going to whip up her first dress!

Happy sewing & knitting!

  1. Lovely colors and I look forward to the stripes changing size-cute and subtle. Eagerly awaiting the baby...
